The Galaxy Watch 3 from Samsung is the best smartwatch to use with an Android phone. It has a circular display that looks traditional with a movable raised bezel that allows you to physically cycle through on-screen menus. New fitness features, which include an electrocardiogram, increase the activity tracking that you expect from any wristwatch these days.

The battery life could be greater, but if you’re happy to charge your smartwatch for a few hours every couple of days, it’s not a deal-breaker. A rotating bezel, an FDA-approved ECG sensor, and trip detection are all features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. It’s now the greatest Android wristwatch available, but how does it compare to the Apple Watch 6? This watch will be supported by Samsung for at least three years. For what it’s worth, you should be able to get a good deal on the Galaxy Watch III these days.

Design and Display:

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 comes in two sizes: a 41mm and a 45mm version. The fundamental features are the same in both, with a few minor variations in the specifications. The display is bright and simple to see in all lighting conditions, so you shouldn’t have any trouble seeing it even when exercising outside. The Galaxy Watch 3 is 14% thinner than the original Galaxy Watch while maintaining the same appealing circular screen design and size. Both models are made of stainless steel, with the 45mm weighing 53.8g and the 41mm weighing 48.2g.

ECG reading and BP monitoring:

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3 has an FDA-approved ECG sensor, which means it can identify signals of fibrillation just like the Apple Watch. In South Korea, the business has also received approval for its blood pressure monitoring device. It would be the first smartwatch with a working monitoring system if authorized by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Performance and Software:

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 uses the same Tizen operating system as the Galaxy Watch 2. It features 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, of which 3.59GB is taken up by pre-installed programs. If you want to fill your watch with apps and music, you’ll have roughly 4GB to work with. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3 is the company’s most recent smartwatch, and it uses the Tizen OS software. It works on both Android and iOS smartphones, although it requires an iPhone 5 or higher running iOS 9 to work. If you’re looking for a smartwatch that lets you to leave your phone at home, both devices include an LTE version.

Sleep tracking:

The National Sleep Institute has teamed with Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3 to offer wearers information on their REM cycle as well as a morning assessment on sleep quality. Breathing disruptions while sleeping, which are a common indication of sleep apnea, can be detected using a SpO2 monitor. I don’t have a lot of trouble sleeping, but with Watch 3, someone who does might be able to learn how to change their sleep cycle.

Fitness:

Yoga, crunches, deadlifts, and pilates are among the 40 workouts that can be tracked In the Watch 3, Samsung has integrated stress tracking, which takes into account peak heart rates and also advises breathing exercises.Sleep and stress tracking are included in the Galaxy Watch 3, as well as a SpO2 monitor to help diagnose sleep apnea. Both features are currently available in the United States, but it’s unclear when they’ll be available in other countries. It’s water-resistant to IP68 standards, so you should be able to swim with it in most pools – just avoid saltwater.

Apps and Storage:

Although the Tizen OS App Store has a smaller range of third-party apps than the Apple Watch App Store, you still have access to popular apps like Uber and Spotify. With a Spotify Premium subscription, you can save tunes for offline playback on the Galaxy Watch 3’s 8GB of music storage.

I don’t have an LTE model, so I’m looking forward to being able to listen to a couple of my playlists when I leave my phone at home for bike rides. This is a feature I like about my Apple Watch 5, which has a bigger storage capacity of 16GB. I’ve already used up almost half of the storage on my Galaxy Watch 3 with a couple of my favorite playlists, so I’ll have to be careful about offloading audio I don’t need.

Battery life:

Despite this, we found it to perform admirably, lasting two to three days on a full charge. This is comparable to the battery life of an Apple Watch but not as good as some other alternatives like Garmin or Fitbit.

Pros:

  •  It’s a more streamlined copy of the classic
  • The physical rotating bezel has returned.
  • ECG measurements that have been certified by the Food and Drug Administration.

Cons:

  • In the United States, blood pressure readings aren’t accurate.
  • The battery capacity is reduced compared to the original.

Conclusion:

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is a smartwatch with a rotating bezel, ECG monitoring, and fall detection. It’s currently the best Android lifestyle smartwatch available.
