Canon EOS R10 Review: Best vlogging camera 2023

Canon’s APS-C sensor mirrorless EOS R10  uses the same lens mounting as its full-frame EOS line. The focusing technology of the R10 is more intelligent than any Rebel SLR’s focusing system and uses a quick burst rate to catch flying objects in fine detail. The Fujifilm X-T30 II still receives our Editor’s Choice award, but the R10 is probably a better option for producers who already own a lot of related equipment.the Canon EOS R10 is the best professional camera that you can buy

Let’s see Canon EOS R10 Review: Best vlogging camera 2023

Design:

It is compact and light, weighs only 429g, and is instantly recognizable to anyone who has used a Canon DSLR. A touchpad, an AF controller, and a multi-function shoe that can charge and transmit data to attachments like shotgun microphones are among the features.

The EOS R10 camera from Canon boasts a 2.36 million dot EVF and 651 focus points. Even though the viewfinder is small, the tiny 0.59x zoom feels a little skimpy. There is only one UHS-II card slot instead of two, and the headset jack for listening to your music is gone.

But when used with prime numbers like the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens, it’s a tidy, small package.

Features and Performance:

The excellent Canon EOS R10 can shoot at 15 frames per second with a manual shutter or 23 frames per second with an electronic shutter. Additionally, its Dual Pixel CMOS AF II setup is both effective and simple. 4,053 AF points are provided in all, which is a lot for a beginner’s camera.

It has an advantage over competitors like Fujifilm since it can follow any topic you chose and lock onto an all-around frame. Battery life and the absence of in-body image stabilization (IBIS) are where it falls short of competitors, but generally, we believe it to be the best purchase.

The buffer size (21 RAWs / 123 JPGs) isn’t going to be able to compete with the top professional cameras, even though the burst speed is of professional grade

However, despite shooting both elite ice skaters and wary wild birds, we were able to get every shot we sought, proving that the performance was not to be taken lightly.

The subject tracking and autofocus of the R10 are incredibly good, which is the first thing we noticed about it. With the Canon EOS R5, we’ve shot a lot to the point where we now take for granted how excellent the industry-leading autofocus is, which is essentially a cheat code for wildlife photography.

Image and Video quality:

The new 24.2MP sensor in the Canon EOS R10 is not a backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor, which places the circuits behind the light-sensitive images instead of in front of them. Up to ISO 1600, pictures appear to be quite crisp and detailed, with pleasant colors and skin colors.

EOS R10 is faster than Canon R3 and Sony A1 and when shot images mechanically and electronically Canon R10 beats canon r5 and Canon R6. For color grading, there is no headset or “flat” log video format. The Canon EOS R10 can capture uncropped, 6K footage in oversampled 4K/30p.

Although it doesn’t provide the same level of quality as competitors like the Fujifilm X-T30 II, this is still a helpful tool for vlogs and YouTubers. The ability to record video in 1080/120p slow motion and an “HDR PQ” mode that produces 4:2:2 10-bit quality are further video goodies. Sadly, the camera doesn’t have a “flat” log option, so serious color graders will have to search somewhere.

Pros:

  • Excellent subject identification and autofocus
  • 23fps electrical shutter and 15fps mechanical shutter
  • a good control arrangement and aesthetics
  • Display that moves
  • An adaptor allows Canon SLR lenses.

Cons:

  • Lack of image sensor stabilization
  • A flat profile is absent from the 8-bit SDR video.
  • Basic CMOS sensors and BSI chips are incompatible.
  • Battery capacity is average.

Conclusion:

The autofocus technology of the Canon EOS R10 is impressive and cleverly detects and tracks targets, but the camera’s outdated sensor technology prevents it from being the greatest.

The Canon EOS R10 is the best professional camera that you can buy. It is hard to beat the convenience of a mirrorless camera combined with a pro-grade sensor and a host of other professional-grade features. Its most important feature, arguably, is its RF mount.

It means that you can use all the lenses you already own for Canon DSLRs, and the fact that this is Canon’s professional-grade mirrorless camera means that you can use almost every professional kit lens available for Canon SLR cameras.

Saying that the Canon EOS R10 is the best camera that you can buy would be an understatement. It is one of the most feature-rich, professional-grade cameras available, even though it is a mirrorless camera. The only real disadvantage is the absence of in-body image stabilization. That said, it’s a very solid camera that deserves the honors.
